Group Paddleboard & Kayak Rentals

Bring your group to Shepherd Lake in Ringwood, NJ for a fun and memorable on-the-water experience. Perfect for camps, schools, parties, and group outings, this 2-hour adventure offers a great way to enjoy the outdoors together.

Set against a backdrop of scenic lake views, grassy fields, and picnic areas, Shepherd Lake provides a relaxing and welcoming environment for groups of all kinds. Participants can choose between stand-up paddleboards or kayaks and explore the water at their own pace.

All rentals include paddles and life jackets, along with a safety overview and assistance with launching and returning equipment. While lessons are not included, our team ensures everyone is comfortable before heading out.

For added support, safety-trained on-water chaperones and guides are available based on your group’s needs, and are required for camps and school groups.

• This option is for group bookings only (weekdays).
  For standard rentals or weekend availability, please select “Hourly Rentals.”

• Bus Arrival Notice:
  If your group is arriving by bus, you must make a separate reservation with Ringwood State Park in advance. Buses are not permitted without prior registration.

• Park Entrance Fees:
  Fees for cars and vans are collected upon arrival and are cash only.

• Cancellations & Rescheduling

  You may cancel your reservation using the link in your booking email up to 24 hours in advance.

  For cancellations or rescheduling within 24 hours, please reply to your booking email as soon as possible.

  • More than 3 hours before start time: Full refund

  • 1–3 hours before start time: 75% refund

  • Less than 1 hour before start time: 50% refund

  • After reservation start time: No refunds

  Reservations are held for 30 minutes past the scheduled start time. After that, equipment may be released to other guests.

  No-shows are not eligible for refunds or rescheduling.

• Weather Policy

  We operate in most weather conditions as long as it is safe.

  • Safe but less-than-ideal weather (cool, cloudy, light mist): We remain open and the standard cancellation policy applies

  • Unsafe weather (thunder, lightning, strong winds): We will close and offer the option to reschedule or receive a full refund

  If unsafe weather occurs while you are on the water, you will be asked to return to shore. Your reservation will be adjusted based on time used (minimum 1-hour charge).

• Late Arrivals

  Please plan to arrive on time. We cannot guarantee adjustments to your reservation if you arrive late.

  • You may use equipment for the remaining time of your reservation

  • Late arrivals do not extend the end time

  • No refunds or credits will be issued for shortened time

  If you expect to be late, please contact us as early as possible and we will do our best to assist.
